2 cups sugar
3/4 cup water
1/2 tablespoon vinegar
4 cups pecan halves
Put to boil sugar, water and vinegar until syrup makes a soft ball when dropped into a cup of cold water. Pur in pecans and cook until syrup forms a hard ball in a cup of cold water. Have ready a large platter or pans greased with butter. Drop large spoonfuls of the mixture about 6 inches apart and let cool. When hard and cool, run knife under each praline and put on plate.
