Having back surgery this friday
Hi! I am just gonna type cause my anxiety is getting the best of me! I fell down 11 stairs about a year ago and broke a vertebra in my back. I have been going through alot in the last year between cortisone shots to physical therapy and nothing has worked. I am going to Johns Hopkins on friday to have this piece removed and am very nervous!! This is my first real surgical procedure. Any keep busy suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I have a few books lined up and am looking forward to some "quiet time" but not this way LOL! I will tell you that MYbargainbuddy saved me at christmas time! I did 98% of my shopping through you!! Thanks!!!
Take care and wish me luck!!

Wow, Jenn! 11 stairs is quite a fall! That must have been scary! Pretty normal to be nervous about surgery. Try to focus on how much better you'll be feeling after you're all healed up. I usually clean house when I'm stressed out. Clean a closet, dump out junk drawers... You'll keep busy and have something good to show for it. :)

Dear Jenn,
I'm glad you posted here...there are so many great people here and now that you let us know what's going on with you we can include you in our prayers. It's crappy that you have to go through this....hang in there and hurry back so we can post about goofy stuff! Hang in there!

My thoughts and prayers are with you. When I am a wreck I do crossword puzzles and/or Sudoku.

Hang in there and try not to stress. I have had 4 back surgeries with the last one being a fusion. The little bit of discomfort (not really pain) you will have after is nothing compaired to what you have been through ( I know, been there myself!) Just do EXACTLY as the doctor tells you and you'll be up and going in no time. This will be a good time to catch up on any reading, needlepoint, crochet etc... that you like to do but usually don't have time for. Also if you have a hubby or kids that will wait on you, milk it for all it's worth! LOL! (((((HUGS))))) and prayers!

Will Be Praying for You
You're in my thoughts and prayers. I had surgery 5 months ago so I empathize about the anxiety. Knowing that people cared helped a lot so remember you are cared about and being thought of with love. Keep us posted on how you do.
