Default Dr. Seuss' Birthday, March 2nd- Read Across America

On Thursday, March 2, take 30 minutes to read. If you have children, read to them, or let them see you reading. It can be anything- even the back of a cereal box. Always keep a lot of reading materials around the house- books, magazines, newspapers.

NEA's Read Across America-Building a Nation of Readers
Originally created as a one-day event to celebrate the joy of reading on March 2, Dr. Seuss's birthday, NEA's Read Across America has grown into a nationwide initiative that promotes reading every day of the year. The countdown to March 2 has begun! Instead of a national theme, we challenge you to help us build a nation of readers with your own Seussational events. Check out this year's pledges.

P.S. And what are we doing? As always, my husband is serving the kids "Green Eggs and Ham" for breakfast!
