Well....
A lot of shows that are cancelled go on in syndication. Sometimes you get to see even more episodes than before (I'm a West Wing Junkie - it's on Bravo every morning - I catch it when I can).
Sometimes shows become so popular that they are brought back (classic example is the original Star Trek series).
So, this might just be a stepping stone for your favorite TV show
