Cool The Black Friday Thread

CONSUMER ADVICE: Anticipation rises over Black Friday

"Black Friday" is two months away, but consumers are already convening online to swap rumors of the deals that retailers will offer on the most hyped shopping day of the year.
GottaDeal.com, a Web site that exposed Wal-Mart's Black Friday deals more than a month early last year, has opened its forums and is allowing people to post retailers' advertising circulars and gab about strategies for day-after-Thanksgiving shopping.
Although no ads for the upcoming Black Friday have been posted yet on the site, shoppers have started to discuss everything from the Black Friday scene at specific retailers to what they're planning to wear while waiting in line for stores to open.
Black Friday has taken on a life of its own online, where GottaDeal.com and other Web sites aim to scoop Black Friday ads weeks before retailers release them. Instead of waiting for advertising circulars stuffed in Thanksgiving Day newspapers, shoppers flock to Web sites like Bfads.net and BlackFridayAds.com, which will start up in October. The day after Thanksgiving is dubbed "Black Friday" because it was known as the day when retailers move out of the red -- debt -- and into the black -- profit.
