I hear you, dm! Today I let my 10 year old son make mac' and cheese to "give myself a break" HAH!! He left the kitchen a MESS inlcuding a giant pot with leftover macaroni and cheese stuck to it, a measuring cup covered in butter (?) a wooden spoon coated in dried cheese, a serving bowl which he emptied the macaroni into before serving it, a colander--also somehow covered in cheese, 3 bowls and forks, and, after deciding to "surprise" everyone with dessert, three ice cream bowls into which he had emptied three containers of snack pack pudding... not to mention the stove and countertops....
Sadly, my husband is just as bad...
nothin' like a little downtime for mom!
