Very sad news when I got to my oncologist office today. One of the nurses, one that I have known for a little over 10 years, and helped me through chemo when I first had it 10 years ago, and again when I had to start it in 2007, lost her own fight with cancer. She passed away early this morning. When you go through treatment for cancer, the nurses become like your 2nd family.

She had to leave the practice about 3 years ago to take a desk job because of foot and knee problems, and she was diagnosed with cancer less than 2 years ago. Before she became ill, she would sometimes stop in to the office to visit her old patients.
