TARGET to open stores ON Thanksgiving...

There just has to come a time when enough is enough! If retailers can't make it without opening on Thanksgiving, they should just shut their doors.

I worked there for 17 years until 2008; things just worse after Sam Walton died. The last two Thanksgivings I was there, I had to work 8 hour shifts while all the management only had to come in for 4 hour shifts. When I first started working there, the store was closed for Thanksgiving and Easter, and on Sundays, only opened until 6pm.

i does remember that walmart was closed on thanksgiving day years ago. only open on thanksgiving is waffle house and some gas stores back then. now almost everwhere stores is open on thanksgiving except publix stores. they are closed on that day.

my parents tell me that stores was not open on holidays back then. even some stores closed on sundays out of respect. oh well. i quess it is not the thing right now. i think almost all stores are competitive to make it out on top. i could be wrong about that.
