
I make this every March 17th and it's a big hit.
Put corned beef into pan - cover with 1/2 water and 1/2 beer

. Simmer until fork-tender.
Add 2 Cups of your favorite whiskey.
Go ahead and pour yourself a traditional Irish whiskey and enjoy.
Simmer the corned beef some more.
Just before serving add 1 cup dry vermouth.
(IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE CORNED BEEF, THROW AWAY AND DRINKTHE GRAVY.)
