Thumbs up No Charge Coin Counting Machines in San Diego County

Pacific Trust Bank's __Ex-CHANGE™ FREE Self-Service Coin Machines

For added customer convenience, at each office location Pacific Trust Bank has Ex-CHANGE™ self service coin machines – a free coin counting and exchange service. Whether you are currently a Bank customer or not, individuals and families are encouraged to bring in their cookie jars, piggy banks and loose change to have their coins counted and exchanged for cash or a deposit into their Pacific Trust Bank account.

It's FREE!
Unlike some coin machines found in supermarkets or other stores that charge a usage fee of up to nearly nine percent to count change, Ex-CHANGE™ coin machines at Pacific Trust Bank is a free service for individuals. Pacific Trust Bank is the first bank in southern California to provide its customers with access to free, self-service coin counting machines. And, we welcome anyone* in the community to come in to deposit their coins.

*To keep our Ex-CHANGE™machines available for other customers and the public to use, business use must be restricted and use of the machines may be limited for those with very large quantities of coins. The Ex-CHANGE™ coin machine is easy to use, and is also designed to introduce children to important money-saving concepts. Customers simply pour their loose change into the machine’s coin tray and push the start button. In seconds they receive a receipt that can be exchanged at the teller window for cash, or the funds can be deposited directly into a Pacific Trust Bank account. Once the coins collected through the Ex-CHANGE™ machines are counted, they will be placed in the bank’s inventory and redistributed to Pacific Trust branches and customers that are in need of them. Got Coins? - Pacific Trust Bank is the place to stash your cash!

I don't know if this is nationwide, but our Hibernia offers this service for free.
