Talking Cincinnatti Chili...beyond delicious!

Cincinnatti Chili...beyond delicious!

This has "killer smell" cooking and eating is even better!

2 T veggie oil
2 c diced onions
3 cloves minced garlic
2 lbs. lean ground beef
2 T chili powder
1/4 t cinnamon
1/4 t ground cloves
1 t cumin seed
1/2 t powdered mustard
1/2 t ground nutmeg
1/2 t paprika
1 t salt
2 6 oz can tomato paste

Saute onions and garlic in oil. Add ground beef. Sprinkle all the spices in the pot. Stir until beef is fully cooked. Add tomato paste. Bring to a simmer. Add 1 c water....more or less depending on the thickness you prefer. Simmer 4 hours covered. Serve alone or over spaghetti noodles and topped with grated cheddar cheese.

I love spices so I was a little heavy handed with these. The kids were here and there are NO leftovers!
