Boise Paper Survey
I took the survey and got the confirmation and thank you on December 16, 2006. I have NEVER heard another word from them or gotten my Amazon GC! As a result, I will avoid purchasing Boise Paper products, because they got the benefit of my opinion (and all of yours!) about their product, but didn't follow through on their promise. At the very least, if they were overwhelmed, they should have closed the survey or sent an email explaining why they didn't pay off. This has been my experience in the past with other sites and I consider it very professional of them to let me know what happened. Some places, I think, just hope that we will forget about it, but they don't know us "Bargain Buddies" very well. Don't you agree?

The survey you requested: "79371/PaperSurvey.htm" has been deactivated.
It has been closed by the owner of the survey. This is not an error.
If you have questions regarding this survey please contact the owner of the survey directly.

I am so sorry for the inconvenience. Can you tell me what survey you
took and we can get the gift card to you.
but i just went back to find the link and it had been erased earlier
so i am not sure if i'm going to get it now or not. we'll see.

An interesting response, I think that I will email them as well. Even though the link has been erased, we do have the survey number posted here from the notice saying that the survey has been closed.79371/PaperSurvey.htm" Do you have an email address for the person you heard back from so that I can write to her about this as well?
Thanks, Mary

don't waste your time..........
this is what i received today
Boise Cascade, LLC is in receipt of your inquiry regarding the $10
Amazon.com gift certificate offered by Boise White Paper to individuals
who were invited by the company to complete a survey regarding Boise's
products and services. We understand that an unauthorized individual
subsequently posted our survey on an internet site and invited general
web-users to complete the survey in order to obtain the gift card. We
also understand that in some cases our survey was forwarded to others
who were not on the original invitation list. Because the company did
not invite you to participate in the survey, you are not entitled to
receive a $10 Amazon.com gift card.
i am soooooooooo mad. does it really matter, we took the survey! it
say anything about it only being for invited participants!

You know, I remember sort of wondering about this when I took the survey, but since it did not really state that it was by "invitation only", I went ahead and took it. This is exactly why I will not forward surveys that I am sent individually, as they are looking for a certain demographic when they send them out. On the other hand, sites such as Boise Paper and other manufacturers, will sometimes have surveys posted on the website itself for general use, that are open to all who use the site. I just figured that it was one of those. I'm thinking that we all need to be more careful of sharing things like this with our "buddies" if they seem to be by invitation only.
So while I wish it would have been more clear at the start of the survey that it was only for certain people (and I HAVE seen this stated on other surveys), it is not fair to entirely blame them for letting us down. At least they were nice enough to look into it and send you a response when you inquired about it. Some companies don't even do that! Oh well, I say "Lesson Learned" and we move on.
