That's too funny! My son loves 'em too.. but roasted is the only way I'll make them. my grandma used to boil them and then put them together with a cream sauce.. yuck.. I roast them with a little canola oil and vary the spices I use depending on my mood, lol..

Tonight we're having the pork chops that we were supposed to have last night, lol...

I'm still waiting on my dinner. I've never had much luck with crockpots so I called my daughter earlier today to get some tips since she uses them often. I put a 3 lb. pork roast and vegetables in a little before 6 PM and put it on high for 4 hours. I went in at 10:30 PM all ready to eat and the roast was still bloody inside! I put it back on for 4 more hours on high. I think I'll give up on crockpots. Meanwhile I grabbed a ham sandwich.

Dru...I put my slow cooker on by 10 a.m. and leave it on til dinner time around 5 or 6 p.m. I think 6 to 8 hours it usual depending on what's in there.

When I was working I put the recipe together the night before, put in frig, turned it on it on as I was leaving, and came home to house smelling so good.

Awww, sweetie. . .the crockpot is God's gift to the working woman. One of the gifts I gave my DIL for Christmas was a crockpot. I was sick while I was there and wasn't myself...we put on chicken and rice around 4 and expected to eat around 7...nu-huh (might have worked had we pre-cooked the rice or cooked it and added it later)!! Whadda fiasco!

Mary's suggestion is the right way to go. Plop it all in the pot in the a.m. and you've got dinner by the time you get home.

Try here: http://www.a-crock-cook.com/
or here: http://southernfood.about.com/library/crock/blcpidx.htm
or even in MBB's collection here: http://www.mybargainbuddy.com/forums...light=crockpot

The recipe swap area also has some strays not gathered into the collection. . .try a search within the recipe swap forum for "crockpot" or "slow cooker"
