For the second consecutive year, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) is partnering with the Recreational Marine Research Center (RMRC) at Michigan State University to conduct an Internet-based survey of patrons of the New York National Boat Show. Last year, nearly 2,700 patrons completed the survey. Thanks again, if you were one of them! NMMA's staff has been actively using what they learned from last year's research to enhance the show and provide the best possible experiences for their show patrons.
We cordially invite you to participate in this year's survey, which takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete. (More than 1,100 people have already done so.) If you choose to participate, you will be asked questions about your participation in the New York National Boat Show -- including whether you bought a boat or became interested in buying a boat -- and about which types of boats and exhibits you most enjoyed seeing while at the show. You'll be asked about your satisfaction with the recent show and the degree to which it met your expectations, and about the information source(s) you used to learn about the show. There are also some questions about the boat(s), if any, that you owned in 2007 and about your boating behaviors, as well as some other general questions that will help the show-planning staff better understand who their patrons are. Because of the university's strict confidentiality policy, your responses will only be reported in combination with those of many other show patrons.
To thank you for participating, if you choose to do so, at the end of the survey you will be given the opportunity to enter your name and mailing address if you want to receive two (2) complimentary tickets to the next New York National Boat Show, (tentatively scheduled December 27, 2008 - January 4, 2009).
