Over 20 homes have burned. Cow, horses, dogs, cats..and many other animals killed. The fire is 60% contained. 9,000 acres have burned.
It has been confirmed that 2 firefighters were killed.
Thank you all for praying for this town. It is so hard to see ppl we know on tv being interviewed and thier homes burnt to the ground behind them. Then there are many that cannot get to their homes because it is barracaded off, the ones that are getting in are sneaking in. It is so sad. The air is pretty smoky in Colorado. There is another massive fire at Ft. Carson up by Colorado Springs, it is 0% contained and 1,000's of homes are in jeopardy...one of the planes that was flying over with retardant crashed and the pilot was killed.
Thanks again all for the prayers.

Christy, just wanted you to know that you and your neighbors are in my thoughts and prayers. Between the Blizzard and now the fire, your area has really suffered. And then throw in the proposed army base, I think you guys have had enough.

Thanks Snowbear. It is overwhelming at times. When the going gets tough I just tell myself someday we will all leave this and there will be no more pain, no more tears in Heaven. One of the firefighters left behind 4 small boys.

The fire has finally been contained. Thanks for all the prayers for all the families and livestock. The Fort Carson fire is still bad. We are hoping for moisture tonight so that will help put out the embers. Scary here it is so dry.
