A good dishwasher?

I am having to buy a new dishwasher this weekend. The piece of junk that came with the house is literally falling apart. I was wondering if anyone could recomend a good dishwasher. We don't want to spend over $600 but the less the better

I absolutely love Maytag dishwashers. I put one in the CO house we sold, one up at the ranch house, and one in my new house in town. I pay between $400- $500 each.

Be sure to avoid GE...they are crap IMHO and absolutely no CS.

GE's are garbage that is what we have now, i will never buy one again. Thanks for the tip

My grandmas both had Maytag dishwashers that lasted them well over 30 years

and one of my grandmas had a maytag washing machine for just as long.. nothing like 'em

I have ALL Maytag and no headaches....washers, dryers, range, DWs, frig, microwave. What else do they make?
