Default I need a bigger TV for my bigger space!

My little 27 inch TV looks like a watchman compared to the 60 inch opening. I was thinking of getting a bigger tv to fill the space, but I'm not much of a tv watcher (with the exception of superbowl on a BIG tv)...so I'd like to not spend so much on it so any good deals, send them my way!

Just as a suggestion - don't get dragged into buying the biggest and best digital one - In 2009 all tv's will have to be digital ready - the kick is that they will not begin producing tv's that will be compatable until 2007. I just purchased a Sony Wega 32" it was about $ 600.00 (they have them at best buy & circuit city all the time). The only bad part is that the sales people will try to drag you over to the $ 3,000.00 sets - I just tell them - this is what I want now ring it up.

One other thing - Fathers day is coming up so there will probably be some good deals around that time. I finally had to buy a new one since my picture completely went out.

Thanks a bunch for the advice!

I'll keep a watch on those ads and buy one on sale for myself for Father's Day!

We have the Sony 36" flat screen too. I want to get a Sony Bravia HDTV when we finally get settled.

LG TV's have been rated high also. I love that it stands for "Life's Good"

I too am looking for a tv. Our big screen and 32 inch both went out the same day. Not a good weekend. Right now we are stuck with a 13 inch (we're a family of 5)! We decided to wait on another big screen because it's such an expensive purchase. I agree, the Sony Bravia 32 inch is very nice. I saw that one yesterday. About $1500 at Ultimate Electronics. $1700 at Best Buy. Has anyone seen a better deal on this tv???? I have not bought a tv in about 7 years. I couldn't believe how much they've changed!

lol...I think it might be too big...

I think a general rule would be it has to get into the house without dismantling walls. Thanks anyways though!
