“Two to Sydney” Sweepstakes with Qantas Airways & Tourism New South Wales. OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 48 CONTIGUOUS UNITED STATES AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA WHO ARE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD AS OF THE DATE OF ENTRY
PROMOTION PERIOD. Promotion begins Monday, March 16, 2009 (12 noon E.T.) and ends Thursday, April 16, 2009 (12 noon E.T.)
when all entries must be received.
ELIGIBILITY. This sweepstakes (the “Promotion”) is only open to legal residents of the forty-eight (48) contiguous United States and District of Columbia who are at least 18 years old as of the date of entry. This Promotion is void outside the 48 United States and the District of Columbia, and where prohibited.
HOW TO ENTER. Visit and submit the entry form. Limit: One entry per person and per e-mail address during the Promotion Period.
WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION. Winner selection will conducted via a random drawing
from all eligible entries on or about Friday, April 24, 2009
(the “Drawing Date”). Any potential winner will be notified by mail, email and/or telephone.
PRIZE DESCRIPTION. There will be one (1) winner. The prize is a trip for two to Sydney, Australia which includes two (2) Travel Authorization Certificates (each a “Travel Certificate”) for round-trip premium economy air transportation on Qantas Airways A380 from Los Angeles (LAX airport) to Sydney, Australia. If winner selected not reside within 100 miles of Los Angeles, The New Yorker will provide air transportation from the major commercial airport nearest the winner’s home in the US to Los Angeles (LAX airport). Winner is responsible for full cost of transportation to and from the airport(s) and their place of residence. Prize also includes admission to Sydney Opera House Essential Tour, escorted luxury 4 wheel drive tour to and from Sydney to Hunter Valley Wine Country, a three-night stay with twin share accommodations at Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney, and two-night stay with twin share accommodations at Tower Lodge Hunter Valley. Approximate retail value of prize: $10,800.
QANTAS AIRWAYS TRAVEL CERTIFICATE TERMS: Each Travel Certificate may be used for air travel wholly on Qantas Airways A380. If winner chooses to travel on a non A380 aircraft, premium economy class may not be available. In that case winner will be accommodated in economy class. Travel Certificates are redeemable for air travel from Los Angeles (LAX airport) to Sydney. Travel Certificates are not returnable or redeemable for cash, except where required by law. Lost, stolen or damaged Travel Certificates will not be replaced. Travel Certificates have no implied warranties and are not credit or debit cards. Travel Certificate redemption is based on availability at the time of reservation, and must adhere to applicable embargoed dates. Each Travel Certificate is valid from April 26, 2009 to April 26, 2010 (“Certificate Date”). Expiration date cannot be extended. Travel using Travel Certificates does not qualify for Qantas Airways mileage credit or elite status. Qantas Airways is not responsible for products or services offered by other participating companies. Qantas Airways is not liable for any expense incurred as a consequence of a flight cancellation or flight delay. Qantas Airways reserves the right to revise the Travel Certificate rules and conditions at any time without notice.
QANTAS AIRWAYS TRAVEL TERMS: If the Grand Prize winner is unable to travel by Certificate Date, the Grand Prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. Travel must originate and end from Los Angeles (LAX airport) on Qantas operated aircraft. Travel is subject to availability and certain other restrictions, which are subject to change in the sole discretion of Qantas Airways. Winner’s guest must be eighteen (18) years of age or older if not a member of winner’s immediate family and will be required to execute and return a liability/publicity release (which must also be signed by such guest’s parent or legal guardian, if minor) prior to travel. Winner and winner’s guest must travel together on the same itinerary, including the same departure date, destination and return date. No stopovers are permitted on tickets issued as a prize; if a stopover occurs, the prize will terminate at the stopover point and full fare will be charged for the remaining segments, including the return, of the trip. TOURISM NEW SOUTH WALES CERTIFICATE TERMS: Prize is valid for travel from April 26, 2009 to April 26, 2010. All travel must be completed by April 26, 2010. Prize is subject to availability at time of booking, non transferable and cannot be redeemed for equivalent cash value. All land travel arrangements to be booked and confirmed by Tourism New South Wales once winner has confirmed travel dates.
