Wow, Nancy...if anyone ever doubted the genetic link for diabetes, I guess your family is a prime example. I was diagnosed about 8 years ago...was in denial for several of those years. About a year ago the doctor put me on a long-lasting insulin (only have to "shoot up" once a day)...talk about a wakeup call! I wish you and your sisters luck and persistence in battling the diabetes, and best of luck in the sweeps!
