I replaced my 30+ year old Magnalite pots and pans with these a couple years ago and they are great!

I haven't had a scratch problem but I try to use nonstick tools. I have used stainless tools and I don't notice any scratches. The only thing is that you are not supposed to put them in the dishwasher because that can mess up the finish. They are very easy to clean so I don't mind hand washing them.
