Default New to couponing...

Hey everyone! I'm fairly new to couponing, I saw the show Extreme Couponing and freaked out that some of those people walked out with the store owing them! What are the best sites to get started at, it can all be slightly overwhelming...any and all help and advice is appreciated!

There are deals to be had, but most stores don't allow the kind of couponing that this show portrays. It's really important to know what things you and your family will use and what kind of stockpile you can keep on hand and use before it expires. It can be very addicting and you can lose site of your spending.

That being said, if you take a good look at what you normally purchase now and don't buy things just because it's a deal, then you can ease into couponing in a rational and logical manner. You need to devote a few hours a week to finding, clipping and organizing your Qs. You can get them from the paper, on packages, at store's Websites and of course, on the Internet. Go to the sites of your favorite stores and print a copy of their coupon policy. Also, look at their sites for in-store coupons. Many will let you stack store Qs with manufacturer's Qs. A good place to start is on the "grocery" tab at the top of this forum. Also, check to sites of your favorite products. Nestle, Con-Agra, Kellogg's, Mars, P&G Saver, and Purina are but a few of the sites that have lots of Qs. You can sign up for regular emails.

If you want some more info, PM me.
