Coleslaw Recipes
There's a ton of them and everyone has at least one favorite! Actually, coleslaw wasn't a favorite of mine (too heavy, thick, creamy for me). This recipe doesn't use mayo and has become my "go to" coleslaw recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 c oil
1/3 c sugar
3 Tbsp rice vinegar (can use a different vinegar if you wish)
1 package Top Ramen
1 c sunflower seeds
1/2 c sliced almonds
1 package (1 lb) prepared shredded cabbage (slaw mix)
1/4 tsp salt
seasoning packet from the Top Ramen
DIRECTIONS:
Mix the oil, sugar, vinegar, salt and seasoning together and set aside while you mix together the slaw mix and sunflower seeds.
Pour the oil mixture over the slaw mixture and toss together well. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
Before serving, crumble the ramen noodles over the slaw and mix everything together.
