Thumbs up Jeanne's Amazing Gravy

This makes a LOT...can easily make half or fourth of it

Jeanne's Amazing Gravy

2 cups chicken broth
6 jars premade turkey gravy
4 packets dry turkey gravy mix
All the pan drippings from the roasting turkey
Sherry or cognac as needed (some for the cook, too!)
Salt and pepper to taste
In a large saucepan, heat the chicken broth and turkey gravy, stirring as it simmers. Add the drippings from the turkey and stir some more. Add 1/4 cup of cognac and reserve the rest. Turn up the heat until your mixture is just at the boiling point. Turn it down to simmer, and slowly add the packets of dry gravy, stirring constantly. Continue to stir to avoid lumps. Adjust if it is too thick or too thin. Add the rest of the cognac or sherry for flavor to your liking.
