1 ripe cantaloupe, cubed (about 6-1/4 cups)
1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled
4 cups orange juice, divided
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon strawberry liqueur (optional)
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
Process half of cantaloupe, half of strawberries and 1/2 cup orange juice in a food processor or blender until smooth, stopping occasionally to scrape down sides. Pour into a 2-1/2 quart pitcher; set aside. Process remaining cantaloupe and strawberries, and 1/2 cup orange juice; add to pitcher.
Add remaining 3 cups orange juice, the lemon juice, liqueur if desired, and ginger to pitcher, stirring well. Cover and chill until ready to serve. Yield: 10 cups.
