New twist on an old favorite

Chocolate edged Krispie treats
3 T butter
1 package marshmallows
6 c rice krispies
2/3 c dried cherries coarsely chopped
2/3 c shopped silvered almonds
8 oz semisweet chocolate
Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat, add marshmallows remove from heat sit in cereal, cherries & almonds
Press into13X9X2" baking pan that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Let set until cool cut into 2" squares. Melt chocolate in 2 cup glass measuring cup in microwave oven for 1 minute or until completely melted. Let cool slightly dip one corner of krispie treat into chocolate on a diagonal.
These are not only good but very eye appealing on a platter for a party
