No, although it did shut off the other day when the power went out for a minute or so.
I've had problems with it shutting itself off for a while now, so I avoided turning it off.
I called a repair shop who said it may be a power supply or circuit issue.
It's an older (3-5 yr.) 32" RCA model that he said they stopped selling because it's so hard to get parts for.

I may have to get a new flat-screen one.
I got this one just before they stopped selling the tube types.

Well.....at least the flat screens are coming down in price. Too bad though. I hate new expenses!
