Mich. legislators defy unions, OK right-to-work
Rules require a five-day wait before the House and Senate vote on each other's bills, which would prohibit making payment of union fees a condition of employment. They are scheduled to reconvene Tuesday, when Michigan could become the 24th state with right-to-work laws if the measures are quickly enacted and Snyder signs them, as he has pledged to do.

Now
On Thursday, Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie vetoed a bill that would set up a state-based health insurance exchange under Obamacare in his state. Committing to such a program without knowing the financial costs to the state would be “fiscally irresponsible.”

FEMA Teams Told to 'Sightsee' as Sandy Victims Suffered
Remember when Chris Christie was hugging Barack Obama as they posed for photo-ops after Superstorm Sandy hit New Jersey? He might have spent his time more profitably by making sure officials in the devastated areas were prepared to assist FEMA workers who were rushed to the scene and then told to go sightseeing for four days.

Geithner: Obama 'Absolutely' Willing to Go Over Fiscal Cliff
The President who once claimed that he wanted to unify the country has a funny idea of how to make peace. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told CNBC that the White House is "absolutely" ready to careen over the fiscal cliff if they don’t get their way on taxes for the wealthy.

Omerica: Millennials Won't Buy Cars, Homes, Steaks
Millennials, those who are 18-30 years of age, have been accused of ruining various consumables in 2012, and some the findings show how bleak the Obama economy has been for young people. Young people in Obama's economy are eating out less, not buying cars or homes, and are even intimidated by steaks.

Google Set to Reap Benefit of Strong Obama Backing?
Obama is said to be considering longtime Obama fan and adviser, Google Chairman Eric Schmidt, to the position of U.S. Treasury Secretary, U.S. Commerce Secretary, or perhaps a new position of Secretary of Business.

Study: Obamacare Tax Costs Additional Thousands in Premiums
According to a new study, Obamacare’s effective health insurance sales tax will impose “a new sales tax on health insurance that starts at $8 billion in 2014, increase to $14.3 billion in 2018, and will continue to increase each year.” The study comes from America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP).
