How do I get the quick response

window to just be available. Right now mine says "Please click one of the Quick Reply icons in the posts above to activate Quick Reply". It's not much of a quick reply if I have to click something first. I was sure the quick reply used to be there without clicking anything. I've lost my mind, haven't I?

i've always clicked on the post reply button under the bottom post

This is the button you can click for the quick reply. It's located in the lower right corner of every post.
