If it seems too good to be a true offer, it probably is and you should avoid
those. But it does get easier recognizing the ones to avoid the longer
you freebie hunt.
Here on MBB, we all try hard NOT to post any of the scams or phishing offers....but once in a while they slip through.
For phone numbers, if it will accept it I put UNLISTED. If it requires
a phone number to complete the request form, I put 000-000-0000.
Of course, if you are requesting something from a truly legitimate
company, like Kellogg's, Proctor & Gamble, etc., then be sure to give
your real phone number.
Same goes for contests, always give your accurate information.
If you don't, you may get disqualified.
