Default How about some really gross recipes?

I was searching to see if egg noodles fried in ketchup was listed on the internet (my mom used to make homemade egg noodles, fry them in butter then add ketchup and fry until slightly brown. Sounds gross but so delicious to me). Somehow from that I found this site. It's facinating. What some people will eat is just ... amazing (and often-times gross).

I'm posting one of my favorite (I would never eat this):

Pinto Cake

My husband and his family all eat pinto beans on their chocolate cake (with icing!). I can't stand to watch!

Maybe you'd like to post what a few of your favorites are.

I am ashamed to admit that I drench everything in ketchup. Yup from eggs to dipping popcorn in it. I even put it in my chinese soup. Can't get enough of it. Hubby hates to watch me eat.
The real big economy size ottles last me about 2 days...sometimes less.....

I don't know how gross this is but some people think I'm whacked but Bean Soup is my favorite. I eat it because I don't eat meat and i need to get my protein somewhere. So here it goes:

1 can kidney beans
1 can tomato paste
3 carrots
3 celery stalks
2 onions
cook on stove with water until veggies are soft. mash it all up and add some more water and salt and pepper. then break up spaghetti into 1 inch pieces. throw it in for a few minutes until spaghetti is soft. add parmesan cheese on top and eat.yummy

Default Dessert "recipe"

When I was a kid this was my favorite dessert that my mom "cooked" for me. I have no idea how or when she came up with it - but my grandma did it too, so maybe from her.

Anywho - my family is from Virginia where they have this liquid gold called King Syrup (it is pancake syrup as thick as karo - and is the best I've ever had!!) Anyway - you take a bowl and put King Syrup in the bottom - then you "cut in" butter into the syrup. Not melted butter mind you, which would have been easier to mix up - I'm talking cold pieces of stick butter. Then you take slices of wonder bread and sop up the syrup/butter mixture. Sooo good. LOL!

I don't eat it, but I know people who put mayo in pinto beans. One of my older brothers friends ate at our house alot when we were kids and I thought it was gross. he also ate peanut butter sandwiches with potatoe soup.

My older brother mixes pancake syrup with peanut butter and makes sandwiches with it. he also likes dill pickles with peanut butter.

I love dill pickles...but haven't tried them with peanut butter. Might be worth a couple bites.

Back home there is an ice cream parlor that specializes in 'odd' flavors.
I used to buy their dill pickle ice cream. It didn't taste like dill but it had tiny pieces of pickle in vanilla ice cream.

I don't know how weird it is or if anyone else does it, but I like to take 2 slices of bread, put Miracle Whip Salad Dressing on it and 2 slices of canned pineapple. It's pretty good.

I tried it once....not bad. But I do prefer Hellman's mayo.
