My main computer is a HP, it is about 2 years old, my 2nd is a Toshiba laptop, its a cheapie very slow off Ebay, the 3rd is the kids its a Gateway, the 4th is an Emachine. They all work, but I LOVE my HP the best! I have very slow dial up. We live in a very rural area and there is no close time in the future we will see dsl! But it works, just takes me about 1-3 minutes to load a page, depending on the graphics.

I have a DELL that I bought myself for Christmas a year and a half ago. (Prior computer was also a DELL from 1999.) When I bought the new one, I finally got cable internet and I would NEVER choose anything else. It's even faster than the DSL we have at work. Not to mention in a year and a half, it's only been down like twice when I've wanted to use it.

Nope, not rubbing it in, just proud of our little 100 person one street town, that finally got it. hasn't been that long ago that we got caller ID. Our phone company isn't even one of the known ones, some private owned thing that buys long distance off of a big company and resells it to us for MORE.
