Like all of you I'm looking for a "freebie" or a good deal. I have not checked out all of the posts here with a "donate free" theme, however I did click on enough on them to think it was a wonderful idea.
Kudos to Jen, you did a great job of locating donating opportunities that we can all participate in.
Someone else here had a wonderful idea (can't remember who - even went thru old posts to try and locate) of submitting for free offer/ samples even if they couldn't use them because they could be collected and bagged into "gift bags" for charity. I imagine the Domestic Violence shelters would welcome as many shampoo, toothpaste, mini samples, etc. as you could possibly donate. I was embarressed when I first read this because I hadn't thought of it first....I have put aside a box so I can follow through with the other member's suggestion.
I noticed we have a lot of forums here. Maybe Karen could set up one more...Charitable Giving for Free or Community Giving, etc. It's a shame that so many of the charitable posts here may not get a full audience (and therefore participation) because there's no "freebie" attached. I've commented more than once that the strength of this forum is the sense of communnity here. As individuals we may not feel we can make much of a difference but I know as a group we can make a big difference.
Sorry this is so long, lol...it's just been in the back of my head as I read through all of the other posts contributed here.
