Stacy, did you have them when you lived in CA? When I was a kid, one of my friends had one. Alwasy thought it would be cool to have one, but they are illegal to own in CA.

Hi Karen,
Yes we had one when we lived in San Diego but did not bring him to SC with us. A friend wanted him so we gave him to them for there kids. Our girls missed him so much when we got here to SC they each had to get one. So now we have 2. Our dog is great with the 2 we have now, we had a problem with Cooper (our Ferret in San Diego) he did not like dogs at all. We found Cooper on the Craigs list when we moved to San Diego from Hawaii.
Very much like a cat. The do what they have to do in a litter box. The eat ferret food but you can feed them cat food. They play with cat toys. They are so funny and lots of fun. One bad thing is they have an odor to them it’s like a musky smell but nothing a bath can’t take care of.
Our ferret (Magie) used to LOVE her baths. Alas, she died last year. Our landlord doesn't allow pets, so we haven't brought another fuzzy into our lives, but we miss her playfulness...although we always know where our keys are now!
My dad had 3 that he brought in with his temp. girlfriend a longggggg time ago.....LOL.....they SMELLED all the time no matter is she bathed them all the time or not........they also destroyed alot of stuff.........YUK for me on ferrets....
We have 1 hamster, 1 cat, 1 dog.......never a ferret........sorry to all the lovers out there but not my cup of tea as they say.......
