One question on the survey cracked me up.
"Have you ever purchased anything at Home Depot?"
Well, first of all, I live in South Louisiana....you know Katrina...The Allstate trailers camped at the local Home Depot for weeks.
Second of all, about 10 years ago, they built a Home Depot just a few blocks from my house. My husband and neighbor talked about building a pneumatic tube from our house to the store so they could just shoot the stuff right home. And if you have kids, you have to bring them to the free First Saturday of the Month crafts. My son is 11 and probably started at about age 3 so you can imagine how many unpainted wooden items we have around here. Plus the kids get a Home Depot apron the first time, and a pin for that month's project. The pins that my kids have gotten practically cover their aprons.
When my son turned five, his birthday was on a First Saturday so we had a Handyman party. Everyone met at Home Depot and made their craft which was a frame for Mother's Day (May 7th is the birthday). Home Depot even gave my son a free craft item- a car. Then they met here where I had a Handyman cake (a groom's cake Walmart makes with little tools and a tape measure all around the outside of the cake). I gave little plastic tools for treats.
Also my 8 year old daughter is in a wheelchair and those Home Depot ladies spoil her rotten...or more rotten I should say. I can't say enough good things about the people at Home Depot...well I could say more if I win a tractor!
