What's a good cocktail for St. Patrick's Day?

Green beer and Irish beer seen to be the most popular drinks, but I am not a beer drinker. How about something with Baileys? Any ideas?

For me Bailey's on the rocks is great - or crush up the ice - or just forget the ice I'll be watching for some more ideas also.

If you wanted to get super festive you could add a little green food color to this...not too much or you'll all have green mouths! Bailey's by itself is good, sometimes with a splash of coke (or root beer, if you like it)...tastes almost like a float!

I will be drinking Jameson's on the rocks with the following toast.

My mom always made the BEST Irish coffee

~~~IRISH COFFEE~~~
*1 measure of Bushmills whiskey (YOU decide the measure)
* Hot black coffee
* Sugar
* REAL Whipped cream.

Always a classic.
Into a stemmed glass or cup rimmed with sugar, pour Irish whiskey. Fill to within 1/2 inch of top with coffee. Cover surface to brim with chilled whipped cream.

This is also an old fav which I might have to try.

Premium Irish whiskey to taste (I use Jameson or Bushmill)
Juice of 1/2 lime
Sparkling mineral water to top up
Ice

Add ice, whiskey and lime juice to a Highball or tall glass. Top up with mineral water.

My son and his buddies were drinking these at his rehersal dinner last summer

~~~Irish Car Bomb~~~

1/2 pint Guinness
1 oz Jamison
1/2 oz Bailey's Irish cream

Pour Guiness into a pint glass. Float Baileys on top of Jamison in shot glass. Drop shot glass, carefully, into Guiness. Drink quickly before it curdles.

Mud Slide
1/3 oz. Bailey's
1/3 oz. Kahlua
1/3 oz. half-and-half or cream
"Stir and serve cold in a shot glass. For a full drink, increase quantities to 1 oz. each and serve over ice in a rocks glass."

Dirty Irishman
1 part Bailey's Irish Cream
1 part Jameson Irish Whiskey
"Mix in a mixing cup with ice and shake. Pour through a strainer and drink.


Cement Mixer
Irish Cream
Lime Juice
"Fill shot glass with Irish cream. Add dash of lime juice. Let set for 30 seconds."

Orgasm
3/4 oz. vodka
3/4 oz. Kahlua or coffee liqueur
3/4 oz. Bailey's or Irish cream
"Blend ingredients with ice and pour into a rocks glass."

I'm not so sure about this one... what happens to it in those 30 seconds?!!!

Rumor has it Mary will be hosting an open bar & pig picking at "The Ranch" starting at noon today and continuing until either A)we run out of booze B) the local sheriff shuts us down or C) Critbunny & Krissy start to sing and dance...
