Don't do pralines on a humid day. They won't set up right. But once you have finished stirring and are ready to drop them on the wax paper, do it quickly before they harden.

I tried the no bake chocolate cookies the other day, and living near the beach the humidity was high, and needless to say they are like oatmeal!

Heya Rhonda,

Now I'm curious - did you ever make them again? How did they turn out? Should we all "stay tuned" , lol?

Outside of all of your excellent offers posted at on-line bargains this thread is the most I've heard from you. It's good to see you on the board - come over to chit-chat sometime and stay a spell.

I haven't had a chance to try them again yet, Lori Ann but I definately will.

I would love to come chat, but it always seems like I am on the late train, because most times I want to give my "2 cents" the topic is history. I must be a slow reader Ya all sure seem to have fun over there! and yes, stay tuned....

I finally had a chance to try again yesterday and my critics claim they are better this time. I am still not so clear on the "soft ball stage". The recipe doesn't indicate if I should let the mixture boil or where the flame should be but it didn't seem to matter because the taste was fine.yummy
