Exclamation Fed Bumped Rates 50 Basis Points Tuesday

If you do your own investing, here are some ideas - high dividend payers- if someone does it for you ask them to check out these stock picks to see if they fit your goals and risk profile.

The following are all stocks I own or are on my watch list - they are all low beta and low P/E (one exception). They are all heavily owned by institutions -produce nice income- pop in the ticker symbol at MSN and check out their sheet

Company ~ Market Cap ~ Dividend Yield ~ StockScouter Rating ~March 28 close (8/27/05 close price or 52 week high and low)

American Capital Strategies (ACAS) $4.21 billion 9.% 6 $35.20 (31.78 )

American Home Mortgage Investment (AHM) $1.5 billion 11.8% 9 $30.72 (27.42 )

RAIT Investment Trust (RAS) $671 million 8.8% 5 $27.72 (26.92 )

Cross Timbers Royalty Trust (CRT) $273.9 million 10.7% N/A $45.65 (52wk. $36.05-$59.00)

New Plan Excel Realty Trust (NXL) $2.7 billion 4.9% 8 $25.90 (25.44)

Pennsylvania R.E.I.T. (PEI) $1.57 billion 5.3% 7 $42.93 (38.43 )

Redwood Trust (RWT) $1.1 billion 6.5% 7 $43.62 (52wk.$40.45-$55.13)

Always good to eyeball your stocks at the end of the quarter to rebalance if necessary.

Lori Ann - Why don't you start a thread and educate us all about how to get started in the Stock Market. I've picked up a few things here and there, But I would certainly like some ideas about how to get involved!
