TEACHERS GUIDE TO N?N? AVAILABLE FREE FROM DLNR Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Forestry & Wildlife (DOFAW) has released a new publication, "A Teacher's Guide To N?n? — Hawai‘i's Endangered State Bird, " written by Kathy Carlstead of the Honolulu Zoo Society and funded through a grant from Anheuser Busch and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. The booklet includes concise informational sections on n?n? which cover: the history of n?n? in Hawaii; n?n? and it’s closest relative, the Canada Goose; n?n? behavior; and giant extinct waterfowl of Hawai‘i.
