Health Insurance Gap
I checked and there's no evidence I've posted this before. When I had my cataract surgery in 2006, I personally had to pay $12000. And I got a bill last week (15 months later) for over $600 for the surgery room. I was out of the country for 18 years, dont have anything like a 401K or IRA. In Australia, we workers paid 1.5 % per year for health stuff...it worked well. For the first time in my life, I'm looking forward to being 65.
