Gayle, I really enjoyed that one.

Now I am reading How Sweet the Sound by Amy K. Sorrells

It's set in 1979, about a Southern girl coming of age in a wealthy, but dysfunctional family.

The Scent of Lilacs by Ann H. Gabhart

Description from Amazon: Jocie Brooke has never wanted for love, despite the fact that she hardly remembers her mother. Jocie's father, preacher David Brooke, has done his best to be both father and mother to his daughter. Even Jocie's spinster Great-aunt Love, who's slowly going senile, cares for Jocie in her own stern way. But in their small town of Hollyhill, Kentucky, painful secrets lie just beneath the surface, and inquisitive spirits discover surprising truths. There's a reason why Aunt Love hides behind black dresses and a stoic countenance. And David takes his morning walks not just for quiet solitude, but to wrestle with the past.

The 2nd book in The Heart of Hollyhill series; Orchard of Hope by Ann H. Gabhart; it continues the story of Jocie and her family and how their small town is affected by the Civil Rights movement.

I just finished Summer of Joy, the last book in The Heart of Hollyhill series.

Now I am reading A Promise to Love by Serena B. Miller, about a Swedish immigrant who arrives in Michigan in 1871 to search the lumber camps for her missing brother.

Plain Murder by Emma Miller; it's a "cozy mystery" set within an Amish community.

I really enjoy Emma Miller's stories, but this is the first one I've read that is a mystery.

The Road from Gap Creek by Robert Morgan; I won it from Library Thing back in February, and it finally came last week.

It's the sequel to Gap Creek, which I read a few years ago, and I really loved that story.
