Wyoming Tenderloin of Beef

1 (4-pound) beef tenderloin, at room temperature

4 ounces bleu cheese, softened

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

2 cloves garlic, crushed

Preheat oven to 450.

Place tenderloin on roasting rack in baking pan. Place in oven.

Reduce oven to 425. Roast for 20 minutes.

Combine bleu cheese, butter, Worcestershire sauce and garlic in bowl; mix well.

Reduce oven temperature to 375. Roast for 10 minutes.

Spread sauce over roast. Roast for 30 or 40 minutes longer or to desired degree of doneness.
