Mock Whipped Cream Icing

Ingredients:

1/4 cup flour
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
8 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

Cook flour and milk together to pudding stage and set aside to cool.
Cream butter and shortening for 4 minutes. Add sugar and beat 4
minutes more. Add cooked mixture and vanilla; beat for 4 minutes more.
