Eligibility: Comfort Stories (the "Promotion") is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (including D.C.) and Canada who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry and who did not purchase any products, services or equipment for the purposes of entering this Contest. Void in Quebec and where prohibited by law. The Promotion consists of a contest (the "Contest") and an instant win game (the "Instant Win Game").
Timing: The Promotion begins on November 11, 2008 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET"), ends on February 8, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the "Promotion Period"). The Contest consists of four (4) phases as set forth in the chart below.

How to Play/Enter:
The Instant Win Game: During the Promotion Period complete and submit the registration form, including a valid home address. P.O. Boxes are not permitted. Once you submit the form, follow the directions to advance to the Instant Win Game page and play the Instant Win Game. The Instant Win Game results will be instantly displayed. Potential winners of the Instant Win Game will be provided directions for validation. All potential winners are subject to verification before any prize will be awarded. Administrator is responsible for the functionality of the Instant Win Game.
Limit: Participant may play (1) time per day during the Promotion Period. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of plays by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant's plays and that entrant may be disqualified.
Tell A Friend Program: After you play the Instant Win Game, you will be invited to submit the names and email addresses of up to five (5) friends who must be eligible to play the Instant Win Game. Each person that you refer will receive an email notifying them about the Instant Win Game. You may only refer persons with whom you have an existing relationship. Regardless of the total number of friends you tell you will be given
one (1) additional Instant Win Game play through the Tell A Friend Program per day during the Promotion Period.
The Contest: During the Submission Phase, visit and register for the Contest if not already done. Complete the registration, including a valid home mailing address. P.O. Boxes are not permitted.
Submit one (1) essay of "How La-Z-Boy has brought comfort to your life" in order to receive one (1) entry into the Contest (the "Submission"). By uploading your Submission, you agree that your Submission conforms to the Submission Guidelines and Content Restrictions as defined on the RULES page (collectively, the "Guidelines and Restrictions") and that Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may remove your Submission and disqualify you from the Contest if it believes, in its sole discretion, that your Submission fails to conform to the Guidelines and Restrictions.
For All Submissions:
Limit: You may submit one (1) Submission during the Submission Phase. THIS PERTAINS TO THE ESSAY CONTEST, IF YOU ELECT TO ENTER. Submissions received from any person or email address in excess of the stated limit will be void. Submissions generated by script, macro or other automated means are void.
Winner Determination for Instant Win Game: Administrator is an independent judging organization whose decisions as to the administration and operation of the Instant Win Game and the selection of potential winners are final and binding in all matters related to the Instant Win Game.
There will be one hundred seven (107) random, computer-generated winning times during the Promotion Period.
For the Second prize there will be one (1) random computer generated winning time each calendar month.
For the Third prize there will be one (1) random computer generated winning time per week. For purposes of this Promotion, a week is defined as starting on Tuesday and ending the following Monday, except the last week of the promotion which will end on Sunday, February 8, 2009 (each a "Week").
For the Fourth prize there will be one (1) random computer generated winning time per day. If you are the first player to play the Instant Win Game at or after one of the randomly-generated times, you will be a potential instant winner of the prize indicated.
Winner Determination for Contest: Winners will be determined according to the process set forth below.
Judging Phase: During the Judging Phase, a panel of qualified judges determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion will select the ten (10) entrants with the highest scoring Submissions (the "Finalists") from among all eligible Submissions based on the following criteria ("Judging Criteria"):
Creativity (33%);
Quality (33%); and
Fit to Contest Theme of "How La-Z-Boy has brought comfort to your life" (34%)
In the event of a tie, the entrant whose Submission received the highest score in the Fit to Contest Theme criteria, as determined by the qualified judges in their sole discretion, will be deemed the applicable Finalist. Sponsor reserves the right to select fewer than ten (10) Finalists, if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Submissions.
Voting Phase: PLEASE REVIEW THE RULES AS TO VOTING.
Winner Requirements: Potential winners will be notified by mail, email or phone on or around January 31, 2009.
