Hey Kelly, someone gave me one last year as a gift and I still have it in the kitchen. They need plenty of water and if you think that it is too big for the pot you can transplant it in a bigger one. I tried to put several outside but they will die back and not come until next spring, where in the house, I have kept several for years. You can tell when you have forgotten to water it, all the stems will droop way down to the floor, and if you water it, it perks back up in an hours time!

The only way that you can get it to flower again is if it dies down and you keep the bulb in the fridge until next year and then plant in the dirt in the fall for the next spring. And theres still a chance that it won't flower. So I just keep mine as a house plant that stays green all year and it doesn't flower. i received one in the hospital 6 months ago, and I haven't transplanted it yet, and its as big as ever. I need to get it another pot soon.

Guess what Kelly? My lily from november that is on top of the fridge just bloomed 2 flowers today! I guess it was worth keeping it watered for an extra 6 months. it hadn't even been replanted yet. I have only had one lily in the past to bloom a second time and i have heard that you can get them to bloom again, so i guess they are right. I was going to chunk it tomorrow since the movers are coming, but maybe I won't give up on it after all.
