I either made it or I'm in Bargain Buddy heaven. And since I don't see a lot of 90% off clearance with free shipping items, I'm assuming I made it.
Things didn't go exactly as planned. Apparently my major blood vessels and main artery that runs through the abdomen are not in the spots where they should be normally found. Kept my poor doctor chasing bleeders for quite a while, she says. Considering I have a history of blood clots, I'm guessing she was imagining one heck of a mal-practice suit. Good enough incentive to keep me alive.
The entire package deal came out. All of it was biopsied. She called me yesterday to tell me it was all benign. The raised CA-125 was most likely caused by a hormonal thing-a-ma-jig, yada, yada. (Yes, she used those words).
So here I am with metal sutures feeling like someone kicked me in the gut, several times, looking around at a messy house and tying to care enough to say "frig it".
The pain meds work about 2 1/2 of the 4 hours they're supposed to. Why is that? Is that to make me extremely grateful for when they do work? Sounds like some pharmaceutical marketing ploy to me.
Thanks for all of your thoughts.
I'll probably be around a bit more since I haven't a lot else to do except watch television.
