I went to do laundry at my laundry mat today where I always go.. and just as I was folding my laundry out of the dryer, in walked this man with 3 FEEDBAGS FULL OF (Feces and hay filled blankets, bandages, towels, etc) HORSE LAUNDRY!!!
Back in 2007 I had written a letter to my local department of health as well as the department of consumer affairs. Shortly after writing the letter I received a letter back from the department of consumer affairs informing me that there is no general overseeing of laundry mats and that it is the business owner's responsibility to let her customers know of the horse laundry being washed there and the next time I walked through there I saw signs up high on the wall almost on the ceiling that were not noticeable to anyone who wasn't looking for them, but according to the DCA that was good enough.
I hadn't seen these horsey
people in quite a long time now and recently the sign came down, well guess what? I just wrote another letter that will be going to the same places because at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon while there were people washing infants clothing, bedding and such were there watching this man stuff 3 large machines with this disgusting laundry and I warned them all of this, and the woman who was washing her newborn's clothes I gave her the dryer that I had just taken my clothes out of.
Maybe I was spoiled, but I never had to go to a laundry mat before I lived here, and I'm looking for an apartment with washer and dryer access so I don't have to deal with this nonsense anymore. There is a laundry mat right by the racetrack over here that is for horse laundry, I am over three miles from the racetrack and I have no idea why these people come all the way here to wash their crap..
