DNC Keynote: 'Prosperity Tomorrow'
Julian Castro, Mayor of San Antonio, delivered a passionate keynote speech tonight. The mood in the room was odd; down on the floor, among the delegates, the enthusiasm was high. But up in the rafters, in the area that seemed less professional, the applause was far more tepid. The contrast was stark. And the speech was stark in its attempt to ignore all information about Obama’s record, instead focusing on one idea: “Prosperity tomorrow.” Sure, Obama’s been terrible. But Mitt Romney doesn’t get regular people. And sure Obama’s failed. But hey – there’s that Mitt Romney guy!
