Forecast: 0% Chance of Rain for Obama's Speech
Yesterday, when the DNC scrapped plans for Obama to give his acceptance speech at Bank of America stadium, a local meteorologist expressed surprise. He noted that the weather forecast for today had been steadily improving over past 48 hours. A number of people thought the DNC could have monitored the improving conditions and waited another day before pulling the plug. This is probably why they didn't wait: the weather forecast for tonight's speech is now 0% chance of rain. ZERO.

2008: 'Yes, We Can!' 2012: 'No One Could Have'
In a long, languorous address to the Democratic National Convention Wednesday night, former President Bill Clinton showed how much Democrats and the mainstream media have lowered the standards for President Barack Obama. Using revisionist history and grade inflation, Clinton labeled Obama’s presidency a success--according to a sliding scale that suggests Obama’s true failure and undermines Clinton’s own achievements.

DNC Platform Still Guts Pro-Israel Language
Despite yesterday’s chaos on the floor of the Democratic National Convention in an attempt to restore Jerusalem and God to the Democratic Party 2012 platform, full pro-Israel language from the 2008 platform has not been and will not be restored. President Obama saw this platform before it was approved. He did not object. He still does not object to the excision of anti-Hamas language and preconditions to negotiations that would actually make a lasting peace possible.

AP: Clinton claims of compromise a stretch
When former President Bill Clinton took the stage at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, he portrayed President Barack Obama as a pragmatic compromiser who has been stymied at every turn by Republicans. There was no mention of the role that the president and the Democrats have played in grinding compromise to a halt on some of the most important issues facing the country.

Cherokee, NC Native Americans: Elizabeth Warren a 'Deceiving Pretender'
Officials at the Massachusetts Republican Party think Elizabeth Warren ought to drive a few hours after she delivers her speech to the DNC and meet with the people of Cherokee, North Carolina.

Fact-Checking Bill Clinton
Bill Clinton was off his game tonight in one of the longest nomination speeches in the history of humankind. The former president began his DNC speech mocking the the very idea of self empowerment and individual success. After seeming to imply that he could work better with compromise than the man he was nominating, he launched into his trademark rhetoric.

Obama's Jewish Problem
An Israeli newspaper now reports that Obama went through back channels (with EU nations) to give the message to Iran and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that we do not have Israel's back and that Iran should not even think of attacking U.S. interests or military installations because we will not be part of the attack, and we will not be supporting Israel in any way.

Source: Obama Saw Platform Language Prior to Convention
The Democratic National Convention, reeling from today’s chaotic fiasco surrounding the reinsertion of pro-Israel, pro-God language into the party platform, has announced that President Obama personally intervened to ensure that that language was revived. But Politico is now reporting that President Obama approved the original, Jerusalem-less, Hamas-less language less than a fortnight ago. He didn’t try to change the platform “until after Republicans jumped on the omissions of God and Jerusalem late Wednesday.”

Thomas Sowell: Obama's 'Confident Ignorance' Is Dangerous
This week, as the Democratic National Convention nominates Barack Obama for another four years of high unemployment, overreaching government intrusion, runaway spending, a self-defeating foreign policy, and a pumped-up partnership with the abortion industry, Dr. Sowell writes what is undoubtedly true about this president.
