Obama Skips Meetings with World Leaders, Talks Football with Iowa Paper
Obama weighed in on the issue three times throughout the day. First, he sent out a tweet. Then, after arriving at the White House from the United Nations on Tuesday, he ignored all questions from reporters until one shouted a question about the referee controversy.

Obama's UN Speech: 'Defining Deviancy Down,' Foreign Policy Edition
Similarly, Jesus can not be "desecrated" unless he is first made sacred, i.e. by Christians who believe he is God. Speaking as President in an address to the world, Obama should not be arguing against desecration or slander of the Prophet any more than he should be arguing for the holy Trinity. To paraphrase something he once said about abortion, these issues are above his pay grade.

Fact Check: Romney Claims Obama Pledged to Raise Taxes in Second Term
Romney misspoke that Obama has not raised taxes, for his administration has raised taxes on cigarettes and the use of tanning beds, for instance. And even more non-income taxes will be levied upon further implementation of the President's signature legislation, the Affordable Care Act.

Obama Struggle with Independents Shows Quinnipiac's Bias
Quinnipiac University may have found an absurd number of Democrats for its CBS/NYT's commissioned poll of three swing states, but that can't hide an unmistakeable fact: Obama is losing Independents. Even Quinnipiac's juiced poll shows Obama losing independents to Romney in Ohio and Florida. The poll, unhelpfully, doesn't break down the numbers for Pennsylvania, but virtually every poll conducted this season finds Obama losing Independents. It's a dramatic swing from 2008.

Fact Check: Elizabeth Warren's 'Family' Ad
Millions of other Americans have been told stories about their heritage by their parents or grandparents that turn out not to be true. After learning that a family story is not true, anyone -- adult or child -- who repeats the false story is a liar.

Report: Median Household Income Down 1.1% in August, More Than 8% Under Obama
"Even though we are technically in an economic recovery, real median annual household income is having a difficult time maintaining its present level, much less recovering," said Sentier co-founder and former Census Bureau official Gordon Green.
