Actually, Deb, the rules change from time to time. Now they say something akin to "everything in moderation" (except laughter!) which makes sense for a lot of us (specifically those of us with Type2)!

I know.....there are no more ADA diabetic diets.....just "carb control"

<nod> My doctor says a MODIFIED (not as much fat) Atkins diet would be a pretty good start.

Atkins is hard on the kidneys.....as is Diabetes. I would rethink Adkins and instead speak to a dietician

Ah, my doc has been gonna refer me to a dietician for years. Now, the insurance says it will only pay within the first so-many-months of diagnosis. I'll stick with chocolate and Coke. (JOKING!!)
